I use my iPod for mail (as long as I get a Wi-fi Signal). To be honest, my Motorola PEBL is rubbish - the worst phone I have ever owned. I'll never buy a Motorola device again.

The MS Wind laptop looks nice - I wonder why the specs are almost the same for the Linux and XP versions, apart from Bluetooth (drivers?) and the battery pack> I'd rather have 5.5 hours in both versions, thank you very much.

I still need to finish styling up these comments.

I'd always been tempted by the eee pc but this has caught my attention of late... http://blog.laptopmag.com/getting-windy-full-specs-of-the-msi-wind

I've been using my laptop a lot for 3d over our holidays, hooking it up to the telly via dvi/hdmi to give me 40" of screen estate ;) Updated the bootcamp drivers (using the apple updater) and now windows blue screens after 20 minutes of uptime. Teh win!

As for the gmail thing, have you tried this on your mobile? http://www.google.com/mobile/mail/index.html I use it all the time; great for checking and alright for replying.
